These illustrations were created for the session titled 'The Story of Baijiu' on the website DrinkBaijiu.com, which is dedicated to sharing the history and culture of Baijiu, a traditional alcoholic drink from China, produced by the MingRiver Baijiu distillery. Baijiu has a rich evolution and enhancement dating back to the medieval era, and DrinkBaijiu.com aims to tell this story to the West.

The illustrations were created based on historical research conducted by Derek Sandhaus, the director of education and a Baijiu expert at MingRiver, who is also the author of the book 'Baijiu: The Essential Guide to Chinese Spirits'.
